AEO

Custom Clearing Service in Chennai

  • What is AEO?

The Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) program is a certification from Indian Customs that indicates businesses are safe, obey the rules, and are good partners in international trade. The SAFE framework from the World Customs Organization is the basis for this program. It enables accredited organizations, such as importers, exporters, and logistics providers, a range of benefits, such as simpler processes and faster cargo clearance. Arrow helps businesses get and preserve their AEO status so that their supply chains work more smoothly.

AEO Levels in India India's AEO program offers three tiers for exporters and importers. Each level provides more incentives than the last:

There are many AEO certifications for different parts of the supply chain, like Customs Brokers, Warehouse Operators, and Logistics Operators (AEO-LO).

  • Advantages of AEO Certification
    Faster Clearance:

Businesses who are AEO-certified get their customs papers processed faster. Their shipments don't have to go through as many physical checks and inspections, which speeds up the process of clearing freight.

    Cost Savings:

Getting AEO designation gives you direct financial benefits. Higher tiers can pay their duties later and don't need as much money in the bank. The program also speeds up the process of getting IGST refunds.

    Recognition around the world:

India's AEO certification is accepted by other countries thanks to Mutual Recognition Agreements (MRAs). This makes it easier for Indian enterprises to do business with such countries.

Less time wasted and less trouble:

Companies who are certified have fewer audits after they get their clearance and get first dibs on other programs that help them, like Direct Port Delivery (DPD) and Direct Port Entry (DPE).
